The town is pretty small, tidy, like most small Belgian towns. There are mostly fritteries and pubs- the stereotype is true about Belgians loving French fries (that should be appropriately be called Belgian Fries, because they are belgian, I have been told a million times) and beer. Everyone în this region speaks in Flemish, a dialect of Dutch, so obviously I have no idea what is going on (even less so than usual).
The team is ok, but not fantastic. There are some good and not so good players. The club is in he proverbial 'ebuilding stage', overcoing a huge debt and aiming simply not to get relegating, and finishing 10th or above in the league (there are 12 teams).
